Advance HE fellowship demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and provides recognition of practice, impact and leadership in teaching and learning. Fellowships are embedded in the UK and have been adopted by increasing numbers of higher education institutions globally.

To celebrate a year (2025) in which we reached 200,000 fellowships across all categories, we invited all fellows worldwide to share your stories and the institutional impact of Fellowship. We also celebrated important milestones for Associate Fellowship (50,000), Senior Fellowship (25,000) and Principal Fellowship (2000) across the 12 months.

Becoming a Senior Fellow (SFHEA) has been transformative, and it’s an opportunity I encourage others to explore! It opens doors for growth, leadership, and deeper impact in education. Gaining SFHEA status with @AdvanceHE through @cardiffuni @LTAcademyCU has really helped me connect with a community of educators who think in very different ways. It’s so good to get out of our silos and be willing to challenge ourselves to innovate #FestivalofFellowship
