Advance HE has a long history of working in race equality in the higher education and research sector. This work stretches from sector wide statistical reports and consultancy through to the operation, development and delivery of the voluntary Race Equality Charter (REC). In the same way that we support our members, we have an internal commitment to take action to improve the representation and success of Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff.
The purpose of this report is to provide our members, the sector and stakeholders with an overview of the work undertaken since November 2020 on our internal approach to inclusion and race equality.
I am proud to be able to share with you a short update on Advance HE's work on our internal approach to inclusion and race equality. This represents an important milestone in meeting our long-term organisational and my personal commitment to ensuring Advance HE is an inclusive organisation in which every member of staff can thrive.
We have already made significant progress in delivering our action plan, which is also attached.
