This case study from London Metropolitan University details the development and implementation of their Education for Social Justice Framework (ESJF), a model of curriculum redesign grounded in integrative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment (Warren & Khan, 2023). The ESJF is a pedagogic disruptor created by a working group of staff, students and the Students’ Union in 2019. It combines inclusive pedagogic principles, with a vision of curriculum rooted in centring the needs of our diverse student body and a deep commitment to the transformative power of education.
Five years on in 2024, the Framework was refreshed to further catalyse its success to date, bringing additional structure to enable continued systemic integration through our strategies, curriculum and wider student experience.
