There’s an increasing demand on leaders within higher education to reshape or restructure their areas to align with institutional strategy and respond to financial pressures. This can lead to higher workloads and even greater amounts of pressure on the people and systems that run our departments and faculties.

To support leaders in this context, we’ve developed our Change Implementation Workshop and Community.

With times accessible globally, the four free-to-members workshops and community will better equip academic and professional services leaders to deal with challenging change and/or restructure in their area.

If you’re seeking immediate, practical solutions, the Change Implementation Workshop and Community are the right fit. If you’re ready to invest in a deep, structured change initiative, check out the Change Academy for an extended peer-learning opportunity.

In the short video below, Sarah Hubbard, Senior Consultant, Advance HE explains more about the Change Implementation Workshops and Community.

What is the Change Implementation Workshop and Community?

Our online interactive workshop creates an opportunity for colleagues to connect on the challenge and share and learn from the experience in the room.

Key Takeaways:

  • New Perspectives on making change happen.
  • Practical Insights on responding to common challenges like colleague retention, role changes, and workload management.
  • Co-creation of Practices to build resilience in your teams and organisation.
  • Immediate Applicability to change projects you’re currently leading.

We aim to co-create these spaces to enable meaningful connections and knowledge sharing.

The workshops are standalone, and you can come alone or with others from your institution.  After the workshop you will be able to continue to connect, share and learn through a facilitated online community.

You will also be invited to attend a summative event in June 2025, sharing ‘what works’ in change and restructure, co-created by the different groups of attendees, including those participating in the Collaborative Development Fund (CDF) and the Change Academy.

When will the workshop take place?

The workshop will be repeated on different days and times to enable colleagues from across the world to participate:

  • Thursday 14 November 10.00 – 12.30 BST (bookings closed)
  • Thursday 30 January 13.30 – 16.00 BST (bookings closed)
