Ben said:
"The group of 30 colleagues from the University who are participating in the CLTHE programme were excellent. All were highly committed and dedicated to enhancing their approach to learning and teaching, and fully embraced the workshops, especially the use of different technologies including the micro-teaching activity and forum theatre. It is clear that the University has ambitious plans to develop its approach to learning and teaching, and to look to international connections for future curriculum developments. I look forward to heading back in January 2019 for module two.”
Lara Martin, Director (Overseas Partnership Development) at Heilongjiang International University said: “HIU's teaching team have had a variety of training over the years but the group felt that this was the first time that the training was tailored exactly to what they wanted to learn. They felt that they had their eyes opened on how to prepare to deliver courses and course structure, organise classes, time management and activities within that time, communication skills with students.”
She added: “HIU teachers were given lots of practical ideas on delivering teaching, ideas that the teacher team have been keen to put into practice. Ben is an excellent lead trainer and was wonderful with the teaching team. He is already a very popular visitor to HIU, the team can't wait for him to come back and deliver the second module. The HIU Senior Management team were invited to a demo on the last day of training and were delighted to see the teaching team motivated and ready to test out their new teaching skills. Ben's energy, patience and professionalism were very much appreciated.”
