Advance HE has announced the launch of its Innovative Practice Grants programme for 2024-25, specifically designed to support and showcase excellence within small, specialist, independent and college-based higher education institutions across the UK.
The grants, each valued at £500, will fund the creation of case studies highlighting successful higher education initiatives that have demonstrated meaningful impact on staff or students. Recipients will develop short case studies of 750-1000 words, sharing insights and good practices that align with four core themes identified through extensive member consultation.
These themes – Securing Student Outcomes, Designing Education for the Future, Protecting Inclusion in Times of Change, and Leading and Governing Transformation – are aligned with our global member benefit themes for 2024-25 which have been developed following consultation with members about the pressing challenges facing higher education institutions today.

“We’ve consistently found some of the most creative and impactful solutions often emerge from these focused, specialist environments. By supporting the sharing of these practices, we’re not just acknowledging excellent work – we’re all helping to build a more connected and collaborative membership and higher education community.”
