Working with the British Council to deliver faculty development, academic leadership, and institutional capacity-building programmes in Bangladesh
Advance HE is to work with the British Council to deliver faculty development, academic leadership, and institutional capacity-building programmes in Bangladesh as part of the Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT) project.
The partnership follows a recent agreement signed between the British Council and the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh at the House of Lords, which aims to strengthen the quality of education across Bangladesh’s higher education sector.
As the UK delivery partner, Advance HE will work alongside the British Council to support the HEAT project in advancing professional development for university academics and leaders, promoting alignment with international standards and contributing to the Government of Bangladesh’s vision for a globally competitive higher education system.

Advance HE has previously worked with the British Council Bangladesh and its partners in Bangladesh, the University Grants Commission (UGC) and higher education institutions, to deliver blended Teaching Excellence Programmes. The new tranche of work is expected to start in December 2025.
