We are deeply saddened by the death of Professor Jason Arday. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues and students at this unimaginably difficult time.
We recognise the distress and reflection that his experiences and death have prompted across the sector. These issues speak directly to Advance HE’s commitment to advancing inclusion in higher education and supporting work on race equity.
We will continue to work with our members and stakeholders to consider what further support and action are needed. At this time, we encourage respect for his family’s privacy and for the dignity of everyone affected.
