Dr Kevin Morgan

Dr Kevin Morgan is an educational leader and dedicated academic in chemistry and chemical engineering at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB). A first-generation university graduate from Northern Ireland, Kevin’s journey—from a pre-peace agreement childhood to a prominent educator and advocate in a post-conflict society—underpins his deep commitment to widening participation, sustainability, and social justice in STEM.

Kevin has led student-centred innovations that enhance engagement, inclusion, and achievement in chemical and engineering education. His redesign of practical modules and assessments—co-created with students and informed by pedagogical frameworks such as Bloom’s Taxonomy and Universal Design for Learning—has demonstrably improved student performance, confidence, and sense of belonging. His work is cited internationally as a model of inclusive curriculum design and assessment practice.

Kevin blends pedagogy, digital innovation, and care to create meaningful learning environments.
