Beth Garrett

Beth Garrett is President of Northampton Students’ Union, having been the Vice President Education in the last academic year. As part of these roles, Beth has acted as a Governor of the University and Chair of the Students’ Union’s Board of Trustees.

Beth previously completed BA Primary Education and MA Education at the University of Northampton. Alongside her studies, Beth has engaged in research work with the University; her research interests include digital pedagogies, technology in education, teacher identity and Black students’ engagement with Learning Development services. Beth has also worked as a tutor for a number of years, initially as a primary tutor specialising in maths and English, moving into GCSE maths tutoring and, most recently, tutoring in an FE context. Most recently, Beth has joined the Office for Students as a TEF Student Panel Member.
