Dr Thomas Lancaster

Dr Thomas Lancaster is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Computing at Imperial College London, who for over 20 years has researched within the academic integrity field. Much of Thomas’ recent research has been conducted alongside undergraduate student partners, work which has led to multiple publications, and the development of an innovative undergraduate academic integrity research module. Thomas is a member of the Quality Assurance Agency advisory group on academic integrity, authored the book “Avoid Plagiarism” for Sage, and coordinates the London and South East Academic Integrity Network (LSEAIN). Currently Thomas is heavily involved in the debate on how artificial intelligence within education and assessment without sacrificing academic integrity, an area which he discusses in media interviews, keynote addresses and in his wider research.
