Professor Cath Ellis

Professor Cath Ellis is the Pro Vice-Chancellor Quality and Integrity at Western Sydney University. Professor Ellis is one of the world’s leading experts on academic integrity and contract cheating. In 2019 the Times Higher Education named her as one of their People of the Year for her work in this area and also achieved the Principal Fellowship status with Advance HE. She has leadership expertise in educational strategy, academic governance, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance and enhancement in higher education in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Professor Ellis also worked with the Australian Government’s Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) on a short course and masterclasses on detecting and investigating contract cheating.
