Kate Strudwick is Professor of Student Engagement and Dean of Teaching and Learning at the University of Lincoln. As Head of Department for the Centre for Education and Students (CES), Kate has sustained academic leadership experience enhancing student experience, embedding employability and Sense of Belonging, and has demonstrated sustained positive contributions to the advancement of the University of Lincoln’s educational offer and strategic priorities.
Kate is a Principal Fellow of the HEA with expertise on student engagement and collaborative partnerships. Kate has published extensively on co-creation and the co-development of teaching and learning through Student as Producer, co-editing ‘Building Student Belonging in Higher Education: Perspectives in Driving and Developing Change’ in 2025, ‘Public Criminology and Social Change: Reimagining Public Education and Research Practice’ (Palgrave) (2023) and ‘Teaching Criminology and Criminal Justice - Challenges for Higher Education’ (Palgrave) in 2022.
