Stuart has been running his own consultancy business since 2006, providing organisation development consultancy, for example around approaches to continuous improvement, a wide range of leadership programmes, and personal effectiveness coaching.

He continues to have a close association with Advance HE (previously the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education) since its launch in 2004, working as a Key Associate, and acting as co-director for its national Transition to Leadership programme, a blended learning programme for emerging leaders in the sector.

Until 2005 Stuart was working as the Organisation Development Manager at the University of Central Lancashire. At the University, he was the project leader for major cultural, leadership and organisational change programmes. He is an accredited assessor and practitioner for the MBTI Step I and Step II, and has a lot of experience with coaching, especially in relation to 360 degree feedback.

Throughout his career, Stuart has had a close interest in supporting the diverse needs of his clients, and in facilitating communication between people with widely different backgrounds. He seeks to balance the needs and ambitions of individuals with those of the organisation, enhancing performance by tapping into people’s natural desire to be successful.
