Assessment and feedback are core thematic areas of student success. Assessment involves both gauging the achievement of student learning and supporting the ongoing process of student learning.
The design of assessments and feedback opportunities should actively contribute to fostering student learning and developing key knowledge and skills required by their discipline, the professions into which they’ll progress, and wider society.
The Assessment and Feedback Superchargers resource and programme provides a way in which you can critically assess your approaches to your assessment and feedback and make effective and impactful change using an evidence informed approach.

What is Assessment and Feedback Superchargers?
Designed as an Advance HE resource by Dr Edd Pitt and Professor Kathleen Quinlan from the University of Kent, the Superchargers resource contains eight decks of cards, each addressing one of eight principles known to improve student learning in higher education. These key principles are high expectations, reflection and integration, working with diverse others, meaningful interactions, real-world applications, feedback, sustained student effort and public display of competence.
Facilitator training
In this training, Participants will learn to run their own Assessment and Feedback Superchargers Workshops. They will explore the theory behind the workshops and explore how to use the cards in a game-like approach with colleagues in their home institutions. The programme is ideal for those who are seeking to redesign assessment and feedback to promote student learning, engagement, and satisfaction.
Each participant will receive a physical copy of the resource to use within their institution.
