The Inclusive Pedagogies Symposium 2027 will provide a collaborative space to critically explore inclusive teaching practices in higher education. This event will bring together educators, students, researchers, and institutional leaders to reflect on both the opportunities and the challenges involved in creating equitable and inclusive learning environments.

Focusing on the intersections between pedagogy, wellbeing, and equity, the symposium will encourage open dialogue on how institutions can respond to the needs of diverse learners. Participants will be invited to share insights into what works, what doesn’t, and why—recognising that honest conversations about failure are vital to achieving meaningful progress.

The event aims to reimagine inclusive pedagogy in ways that foster institutional transformation, promote student belonging, and support a sustainable, accessible future for education. By valuing a wide range of perspectives and experiences, the symposium will support the sector in advancing inclusive practices that are both effective and adaptable.

Who should attend?

Teaching practitioners including heads of departments, academic programme leaders and developers, all lecturing staff, learning technologists and staff focused on inclusion, EDI and wellbeing.

A digital badge award will recognise presenters at this event.
