Resilient Pedagogies: What next? Webinar

Advance HE in partnership with Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University will host a webinar on 29 March 2022 which will discuss resilient pedagogies in a post-Covid world. 

Over the last two years, the shift to ‘emergency remote teaching’ during the Covid-19 pandemic has helped us adapt quickly to overcome the immediate challenges of teaching online, to ensure our students can continue learning. However, this has often taken place under great pressure and without much chance to reflect on and consolidate our practice for the future.  

This session offers an opportunity to pause and consider how in the longer term we might design learning which anticipates and is more resistant to potential disruption, building on all the insights we have gained and evolving our pedagogy into one which is flexible, accessible and supports staff and student resilience.  

We will consider teaching at the level of the curriculum and the classroom, including 

• Identifying vulnerabilities, challenges and possibilities
• Designing for the in-person, hybrid and online classroom
• Sharing practice around teaching strategies
