Dr Anne Crook is a leading member of the University of Readings teaching and learning community. As Enhancement Manager (Teaching and Learning) she works with academics, support staff, students and senior management to enhance teaching practices.

Professor  Simon Lancaster is director of the Chemistry degree programmes at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Author of more than 60 papers in inorganic chemistry he now divides his research interests between energy materials and innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement.

Dr Pratap Rughani is an experienced documentary film practitioner in commissioning environments from BBCTV / Channel 4 to Gallery and activist spaces internationally. As a professor he interleaves film practice with research, teaching, learning, and knowledge exchange, with a particular focus on researcher and curriculum development. He is a PFHEA and Panel Member for REF 2021 and served as Dep. Chair of ANTF.

Dr Janet Hargreaves trained as a nursery nurse and registered adult nurse before working in the National Health Service in ophthalmic and operating theatre settings. Clinical teaching with student nurses followed, which was a springboard to a career in higher education now spanning 25 years.

When Sara Holmes joined the University as a Lecturer in 1998, she had the sense, having originally trained as a dental nurse, that dental care professional (DCP) education was historically a 'Cinderella' professional specialism in academic dentistry. At that time the University did not have a history in dental education but were keen to develop provision. Sara has since progressively developed a strong vision for team-based dental learning and working.

Dr Janet Strivens joined the University of Liverpool in 1979 as a lecturer in the School of Education. Driven by a passionate interest in how people learn, she eventually moved into working with staff across the institution to enhance the quality of learning, teaching and assessment.

Barbara believes that leadership, mentoring and legacy are the three key themes that underpin everything she does and her philosophy is that everybody should be enabled to be the best they can be.

A former Prison Governor, Professor David Wilson's expertise is related to serious, violent crime and he is regarded as one of the countrys leading experts on murder and serial murder. He has written extensively about this phenomenon from a structural perspective, rather than from within the medical-psychological tradition, in peer review articles, academic and true crime books. His most recent book is Looking for Laura: Public Criminology and Hot News (Winchester: Waterside Press).

After completing his PhD in paediatric exercise science Dr Richard Winsley became a clinical exercise physiologist in the NHS, working within a busy cardiac rehabilitation department and running a GP exercise referral scheme.
