Survey Reporting Associate

Advance HE are currently looking for a new Associate with a specific skillset to provide support with producing and quality assuring our suite of bespoke institutional reports for our Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research Experience Surveys (PTES & PRES).

We do this through the provision of specialist knowledge and resources, externally recognised benchmarking and recognition schemes, and a member-focused, collaborative approach.

Advance HE seeks to recruit an Associate with specific, demonstrable experience and expertise in producing data-based survey reporting using Excel VBA programming, with knowledge and expertise in scripting and programming in a range of other reporting solutions also desirable.

The Associate will work together with the Advance HE surveys team to produce and quality assure a suite of bespoke dashboard reporting solutions, advising on evolution and development of the reporting function, driving forward advancements in visual output, quality assuring the outputs and providing technical back up to the team. The Associate will also be encouraged to contribute their ideas as to more advanced visual reporting that could be achieved using alternative software solutions.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Excel VBA programming expert with extensive experience of developing reporting using this software
  • Data processing expert with expertise in handling survey/ market research data in SPSS and R
  • Demonstrable experience in producing reporting using a range of additional software systems
  • Expertise in representing data visually
  • Attention to detail
  • Surveys/ market research expert with extensive experience designing surveys and processing survey results
  • Demonstrable knowledge of data handling and data protection procedures

Time commitment

It is expected that Associates will be available for approximately 10-20 days (£375 per day) of work between March and June 2024 and potentially in future years.
