Senior and Principal Fellowship Support Programme

UK and Australasian virtual cohorts Specialist virtual programmes to support individuals as part of a cohort to achieve either Senior or Principal Fellowship

Advance HE fellowship demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and provides recognition of practice, impact and leadership in teaching and supporting learning.

We have developed specialist virtual programmes to support individuals as part of a cohort, in the UK or Australasia, to achieve either Senior or Principal Fellowship.

The programmes will provide guidance, dedicated writing sessions, review of a draft PSF 2023 application with one to one feedback, prior to direct submission to Advance HE. These programmes, led by an experienced PSF 2023 Consultant, will support individuals to develop an application for either Senior or Principal Fellowship in a structure way over a period of 12 weeks, as part of a cohort, and will be of particular interest to those institutions who currently don’t have accredited provision for these categories.

Benefiting the institution

Building institutional capacity at Principal and/or Senior Fellowship has significant benefits to institutions. It can support an institutional approach to developing Fellowship and its strategic impact on student learning.

By developing capacity and capability through Fellowship, institutions report:

  • improved profile of teaching and support of learning across the institution
  • encouragement of collaboration across faculties and between institutions
  • increasing scholarship and research in teaching and learning
  • improved student retention, student experience data and student engagement scores.
88 percent of HE providers in the UK link Fellowship to promotion pathways, particularly Senior and Principal Fellows.
