Dr Susan Starkings is Head of Skills for Learning within the Centre for Learning Support and Development at London South Bank University (LSBU). She has taught for the past 26 years in schools, further and higher education. Her expertise lies both in her academic field of Mathematics and Statistics and in developing cross-disciplinary support for basic skills for students from nontraditional backgrounds. She has also taught for the Open University and was a visiting lecturer in Finland, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

Dr Jenny Naish, is a former Dean of the Business School at York St John University (UK) and an award winning National Teaching Fellow, gained for work in the field of Work Based Learning (WBL) and internationalisation. Jenny has also worked at Middlesex and Teesside Universities, both leading institutions in the field of employer engagement, and has personally contributed to the international growth and acceptance of WBL as a field of studies. Her PhD explored Shakespeare's professional development, and she has supervised numerous doctorate and masters candidates.
