The Diversity Manager published examples of policies, used by other institutions, which offered guidance on gender equality with regards to recruitment. This was done with the aim of gaining ideas for the drafting of their own policy.

Outcomes

The department’s policy on gender equality in recruitment was found to have positively accelerated culture change throughout the wider organsiation. Guidance on recruitment bias was widely distributed to all recruitment managers who as a result reported a higher awareness.
