Following a review of the institution's marketing strategy, which included making sure all adverts and marketing collateral featured inclusive imagery and the Race Charter award logo, the institution felt they were having increased influence on the talent they were attracting. By sending applicants information on working at the university, including information on the institution's approach to equality, diversity and inclusion, it was found that the number of BAME academic applicants increased by a substantial number.
