To meet the institution's target to be representative of the city and county population, a number of initiatives including increased engagement and recruitment from the local community were implemented. The institution's revised approach to recruitment helped the professional services staff population to grow, and the BAME staff population continued to grow, despite a slight reduction in overall staff numbers during the same period.
