An active support for secondments helped to increase the numbers of BAME UK and non-UK staff move to higher grade from 3.4% and 3.7% in 2016 to 4.7% and 8% in 2018 respectively. In 2018, it was found that BAME UK Professional Support Staff (PSS) were more likely to move up the career ladder than white PSS.
