Academic and student perspectives on international exchanges: reflections on problems opportunities and outcomes

A presentation from the Internationalisation of Pedagogy and Curriculum in Higher Education: Exploring New Frontiers Conference June 2011.

This presentation reflects on the challenge of providing student learning opportunities across different cultural contexts through a mutual short term international exchange between two schools of social work in India and Northern Ireland. The experiences and perspectives of academic teaching staff and students involved in the exchange will be presented together with strategies for facilitating future genuine mutual learning partnerships.
