Bangor University - Learning and Teaching Summit

To develop further the delivery of inclusive learning and teaching at Bangor with  pre-determined interventions in six academic schools.

The Bangor University Team will be developing inclusive delivery with reference to disability via interventions to be implemented in six academic Schools. Champions of inclusive learning and teaching lecturers in their respective areas have agreed to implement developments within their teaching practice during Semester 1 2009-10. A range of interventions will be undertaken for the duration/part of a module and feedback will be gleaned from students.

The Key Driver for the team is that modes of teaching can create barriers to learning therefore if practice is varied or developed student experience is enhanced. Key institutional drivers are Widening Participation and 1st year student retention for which we acknowledge inclusive practice plays an important role.
