Collaborative teaching across the 1992 divide

A paper from the STEM Annual Conference 2012.

University finances are under increasing strain in these current straitened times. Universities across the higher education spectrum are seeking to make efficiency savings whilst at the same time improving their offering to students. Collaboration between universities may be a way to reduce the tensions generated by these competing aims. Previously collaboration between institutions has concentrated on research projects.

Described here however is a collaborative venture involving the teaching of an undergraduate degree programme by two quite different institutions.
