This presentation presents the design development and findings of a project which has been employing student video conferencing as a mediated tool to increase cross-campuses interaction between University of Nottingham Computer Science students studying in both Nottingham and China on a 2+2 split-site degree course. Research findings indicate that using regular cross-campus student video conferencing is a potent and appropriate method to enhance students' social and academic integration. This approach has utilised the cross-campus infrastructure of the University and helped to enrich the transnational aspects of the student experience.
