Consistency v autonomy: effective feedback to a very large cohort

A paper from the STEM Annual Conference 2012

This paper describes an ongoing project to change the culture of tutor feedback at the Open University based on a new Level 1 Computing and IT module. The project is an experiment in moving towards a culture that foregrounds feedback and the development of core skills and promotes greater tutor autonomy.
