Track Chair's Comments: Thushari's paper which is abstracted from her booklet(which I recommend to you) set the scene for the track very well. Her research involved getting international students to tell 'stories' that revealed a wide gulf between their expectations of learning and the methods employed in practice. Thushari's research points to an urgent need to develop a pedagogy of intercultural learning which if realised would benefit all higher education students in the UK not just international ones.
