Designing for interaction in an online CPD programme

The initial sections of this case study set out the history of the design development and delivery of a postgraduate continuing professional development (CPD) programme that is delivered using a supported online learning environment. It seeks to chart the points in that history at which key decisions were made; and it attempts to tease out the thinking behind those key decisions. A major focus of the case study is the attempt by the programme team to identify ways in which online interaction could be encouraged and supported.
