Developing Academic Development

This report describes the use and development of a new dialogic concept-mapping method for:

  • Analysis of the quality of student learning during university teaching.
  • Documentation of the changing understandings of lecturers' conceptions of teaching during academic development at King's College.

The data are reported and assessed to explore the impact of academic development on the quality of students' learning experiences and to make recommendations for future academic development in research led universities.
