This case study was carried out as part of an Engineering Subject Centre Mini-Project by the School of Engineering and the Staff-Student Partnership for Assessment Change (SPACE) Project at the University of Plymouth. SPACE was a three year (2002-05) HEFCE-funded collaborative project developing and promoting inclusive approaches to assessment. The Mini-Project provided the opportunity to approach assessment in an innovative way. The case study outlines how a range of assessment choices were offered to Architecture and Environmental Building degree students during their structures module.
