This case study outlines an initiative underatken at the University of Hull as part of the HEA's Responding to the National Student Survey in the Disciplines Change Programme.
The aim of this project was to enrich our students’ experience by enhancing the scholarship of learning and teaching. We wanted our learning and teaching to be more deeply rooted in the evidence base of our professions to become more confident creative and innovative in the way we approached learning and teaching and to learn how to disseminate excellent practice.
The wider context of the project was that the University’s Strategic Plan 2011-2015 highlights the importance of research informed teaching and the National Student Survey values innovation and creativity in learning teaching and assessment.
