The establishment of a multi-disciplinary undergraduate research internship scheme at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)

University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) presentation delivered at the HEA Annual Conference in June 2010. Undergraduate internships are common in the US; in the UK however opportunities for students to work with researchers are much more limited. This presentation details a project which aimed to create a multi-disciplinary internship scheme having a range of available projects with a common framework and real research outputs.
