Examples and issues in OER use and reuse

This case study is developed from the key findings of four SCORE funded projects that took place between September 2011 and May 2012. Each project focused on a specific aspect of OER use and reuse in higher education (HE) in the UK. These projects took place at the University of the Arts London Sheffield Hallam University the University of Leicester and the University of Oxford

The key findings and lessons learned from the four projects are reported under four themes in this case study: 1) examples of OER reuse by academics; 2) OER engagement ladder: a developmental model to support teachers’ engagement with OER; 3) Open Educational Practice (OEP); 4) challenges faced by OER creators and users.

This case study was created by SCORE (Support Centre for Open Resources in Education) fellows as part of the joint HEA / JISC Open Educational Resources study; pedagogical development from OER practice.
