This workshop aims to examine the experience of student ghostwriting from the perspective of HEA members and in combination with some early research and practical experience on the matter develop options for teaching and assessment that confront or negate this form of malpractice amongst our students. It will do this by introducing some recent research on the phenomena of ghostwriting in the UK HE context engage the participants in creatively drawing up their experience and exploring responses to ghostwriting synthesising this into options for teaching and assessment which might work to counteract its prevalence and growth.
