A flexible contextualised PgCE Learning and Teaching in HE for new academic staff

The author describes a Teesside University initiative. The University has developed a flexible PGCE LTHE beginning four times a year with a two-day residential followed by a rolling programme of workshops a work-based project and electives linked to the CPD programme. This supports and encourages new academic staff as they become part of the growing learning community.
