Flipping wounds: Exploring flipped learning with enquiry based learning - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

Nurse educators need to develop more flexible approaches to learning in order to meet the needs of future healthcare workers. Using a ‘Tissue Viability Module” for post-registration healthcare professionals this presentation will explore to what extent a ‘Flipped Classroom’ with EBL seminars meets future needs and has a role to play as a potential future signature pedagogy in the development of nurses. The presentation will address the following questions: • What is flipped learning in this context? • How did the EBL process work? • What strategies promoted shift in the learning culture? • What was the role of the facilitator?
