This brief paper will discuss the findings of my project 'An Outside-In Approach to Composition in the Classroom' during 2002-2003 by the PALATINE Development Award. It will be divided into two sections: a description a CDROM produced by Yamaha and the Virtual Learning Environments Foundation and a short reflection on the research process that accompanied the final stages of this product's development.
