Getting students to concentrate on writing about the things that really matter

This Engineering Subject Centre case study discusses a third year course about computer modelling and experiments. Students submitted short assignments online and were encouraged to report back in an evaluative rather than a descriptive way. The assignments were positively received and students saw the value of transferable skills.
