Informed learning: Supporting student transition and academic success

A presentation from the HEA's Annual Conference 2012.

This paper introduces the pedagogical construct of informed learning (Bruce 2008) and its potential to enhance learning experiences and outcomes in higher education. By way of example it outlines three contrasting units of study that respectively support first year student experience international student transition and online learning.
