A presentation from the TIS International Conference - Internationalisation of Pedagogy and Curriculum in Higher Education: Exploring New Frontiers June 2011.
The key purpose of this paper is to discuss the outcomes of a qualitative research study conducted in a faculty within a post-92 UK University which explored the perspectives of internationalisation amongst academic staff in relation to their learning teaching and assessment practice. This paper outlines some of those challenges and practices as they are perceived to exist with examples. The paper does not aim to provide a definition literature or critical perspective of internationalisation; rather the main premise throughout the paper highlights the practical challenges and perceptions which academic staff raised in their understanding of internationalisation through their subject discipline. The author/presenter will conclude with recommendations for the future development of internationalisation”.
