The Language of Ideas: using Ideograms to develop relationships between the Theory and Practice of Graphic Design

This project was part of the "Type as Image" module at level one on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at University Campus Suffolk Ipswich.

The project would encourage students to explore language in visual and literary form and to understand better how each form articulates itself and interacts to develop and affect ideas. Using the ideogram as a form the students experimented with typography to create imagery. The intention was to show students the importance of literary concepts through the novel and explore the relationship between those ideas and typography.
