Methodology to include energy efficiency in curriculum design - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

The objective of the session is to discuss how national policies on higher education need adequate methodologies that focus on practical teaching-learning experience. Today in Chile the curriculum design in higher education is rapidly shifting to a competency-based learning method. This is part of the policies of the educational accreditation system. At the same time the Chilean Agency of Energy Efficiency is leading a programme to improve the inclusion of contents related to energy efficiency in the curriculum design. The results of the second year of the programme developed by the Energy Centre from Universidad de Chile will be presented as a methodological approach that can be used at any curriculum linked to energy theme.
