This session describes a pilot project developing and delivering students a model of teaching that supports their transition between theoretical teaching and on-campus group work and working/practicing with real patients on clinical placement. Working with a local acute NHS trust to identify patients together with the refurbishment of rooms to create simulation labs, we established real case-based simulation clinics for our second year BSc Speech and Language Therapy students at the University of Manchester.
