Wales has established a single national framework for the continuing professional education of qualified social workers. This session aims to: critically reflect on early implementation of the three programmes that deliver the framework in order to help understand the key characteristics challenges and opportunities such a co-ordinated and commissioned approach to post-qualifying education can bring. 2. analyse how collaborative delivery across higher educational institutions complex partnerships with employers developing distance and on-line learning and ensuring a ‘practice-rootedness’ are critical considerations for effective delivery.
