Extracurricular undergraduate research periods have been shown to add value to the student experience improve student confidence and increase the graduate employability potential. However students tend not to articulate this experience or communicate their research effectively. This workshop demonstrates a cross discipline peer learning environment for students to critique each other’s work improve communication skills and gather constructive feedback. Using example ‘layperson accessible’ research posters participants will stand in the students’ shoes critique posters and offer constructive feedback suggestions. Peer discussion informs the assessment of posters and furthers the understanding and ownership of assessment criteria for students to apply themselves.
