The UK Centre for Bioscience Resource Folder for Academic Staff is designed for staff new to teaching (experienced lecturers may find it useful too) and is intended to complement the largely-generic information delivered in staff development courses.
The content was originally provided in a folder format so individuals could supplement the information with documents they found useful to give in time a personalised resource of information. The content from the folder is available to download in electronic format. Resources and information in the folder are divided into several sections; How to use the folder and sources of advice and support; Lectures; Tutorials; Labwork; Fieldwork; Assessment; Feedback; Plagiarism; Inclusion; Induction Transition Retention; Other useful resources. Each section contains tips and other things to consider followed by a list of relevant resources. The information and resources are directed at bioscientists although the folder does include some generic teaching information.
